What We Provide

Learning to Care for the Land

In partnership with professional arborist Anthony Lay, students received hands-on training in the care and cultivation of fruit trees. They learned to identify tree species, understand pruning and maintenance, and appreciate the value of long-term environmental care. These sessions help students see themselves as caretakers of both land and legacy.

Green Jobs & Sustainability Pathways

From solar energy to sustainability practices, students were introduced to the growing world of green jobs.
Workshops and demonstrations showed how environmental stewardship can lead to meaningful careers—whether in clean energy, landscaping, urban farming, or climate advocacy. We aim to equip every student with the knowledge and exposure needed to envision a future where their work makes a difference.

Building a Greener, More Equitable Future

Our Environmental Justice & Green Jobs program is about more than planting trees or installing solar panels—it's about planting seeds of opportunity in the lives of young people.

We’re creating future leaders who understand the impact of environmental inequality and are ready to lead their communities toward a more just, sustainable world.

A Labyrinth for Mindfulness & Reflection

As a symbol of healing, focus, and environmental stewardship, our students built a labyrinth—a sacred outdoor space for mindfulness and quiet reflection. More than a structure, the labyrinth represents our belief that environmental care begins with inner awareness and a deepened sense of connection to the earth and to one another.

Turning Stewardship into Opportunity

At Pilgrim’s Progress CDC, we believe environmental justice starts with education and engagement. Our Environmental Justice & Green Jobs initiative empowers youth to care for their communities while exploring sustainable career pathways.
