Telling Our Story: A Film by PBC Green Team Youth
Through the lens of our young filmmakers, history comes to life. Students researched, scripted, and produced a powerful short film exploring Juneteenth, the legacy of East Central, and the pivotal role African Americans have played in shaping the foundation of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Their work doesn’t just honor the past—it celebrates the continuing contributions of the Black community and inspires future generations to carry the legacy forward.

What We Provide
Podcasting With Purpose
Over the course of the program, students produced 6+ original podcast episodes, each reflecting on their personal growth, lessons learned, and visions for the future. These conversations became a platform for their voices to be heard and their ideas to be celebrated.

Skills for the Future
Partnering with local creatives, students gained hands-on experience in editing, audio mixing, and media production. These skills empower them to share their messages across platforms and open doors to future opportunities in the creative industries.

Strings and Keys: Music That Tells a Story
Working alongside engineer Charles Lopez, youth created original music for their end-of-program showcase. They experienced the full creative process—from writing and recording to hearing their work come alive on stage.

Where Youth Voices Take Center Stage
At PBC Green Team, creativity is more than self-expression—it’s a powerful tool for growth, connection, and confidence. Through our media arts programming, students explored their stories and learned how to share them with the world.
